Hey there…

“ I’ve been creating art for as long as I can remember, beginning in childhood and continuing as a self-taught artist guided by instinct, repetition, and curiosity rather than formal training. Over the past fifteen years, I’ve sold more than fifty original works, each one part of an ongoing exploration of image, scale, and presence.

My work centers on large-format, realistic portraiture that is bold, graphic, and unapologetically colorful. I’m drawn to iconic faces — figures embedded in our shared cultural memory — and I use realism as a foundation rather than a destination. By amplifying color, contrast, and composition, I aim to reframe familiarity into something more immediate and impactful. These portraits are designed to hold space, to feel intentional and immersive, and to invite viewers into a moment of recognition that goes beyond the surface.

For five years, I operated a signature gallery featuring only my own work. During that time, 100% of the proceeds from sales were donated to charity — an extension of my belief that art can be both personal and outward-facing, expressive and generous. That balance between individual vision and collective contribution continues to inform how I approach both my art and my life.

Outside the studio, my path has been equally shaped by long-term commitment and self-directed exploration. I’ve been married for twenty-five years to the same incredible woman and am the father of two amazing grown children. I’ve been self-employed since the age of 23, building and operating a wide range of ventures including a landscaping company, a web design firm, a whiskey distillery, a kombucha company, and — most recently — an herbal supplement manufacturing company. I’m also an author, a former powerlifting world champion, and a former competitive arm wrestler.

All of these experiences inform my work, even when they aren’t visible on the canvas. Discipline, endurance, risk-taking, and attention to detail are as present in my paintings as they are in my history. At its core, my art reflects a lifelong practice of building — strength, businesses, relationships, and images — with intention and care. “
